About Us

York & District Ladies Squash League was set up in 1979 and is made up of three divisions, 24 teams across 4 divisions.  The season runs from September through to the end of March and each team play all the other teams in their division both home and away.

Teams comprise five ladies, and junior males (up to age 14) are also welcome (please refer to Y&DLSL rules).

Individual matches are marked and refereed according to World Squash Federation Rules of Squash (please refer to link) alongside the rules of Y&DLSL.  Games are played up to nine points and best of five games.

Prizes are awarded to the winners and runners up in each division at the end of the season.

During the season the following championships are organised:

Y&DLSL Ladies Open Championship

Y&DLSL Handicap Competion

Riley Rose Bowl – a handicapped knock out team event played to American scoring.

3 String Competition – teams of 3 nominated players and 2 nominated reserves from any division competition run on a ‘mini league’ basis, American scoring.

In addition we run Y&DLSL Achievement Award throughout the season.  All players are automatically entered the first time they play in a match and points accumulate throughout the season.

You can view your position in the league or Achievement Award by going to www.resultszone.com
